About Us

David Wallover - Senior Pastor

The first thing to know about me is that I am a sinner, which is another way of saying, I do a good job of messing up, in thought, word and deed. The second and much more important thing to know about me is that I am loved and being renovated by the God of Creation and Salvation more deeply and more consistently than I have any right to expect or any ability to fathom, through the sacrifice of HIs Son, Jesus Christ, and the work of His Spirit.

Beyond that basic information, I am married to Lisa, a crazy-cute redhead from Brooklyn, NY.  We are enjoying our adventure of marriage - and are ourselves still being sanctified in it, as well.  We have three grown children and one beautiful granddaughter.  This family is my sustenance on earth, my joy, my crown.  I love them deeply.

Other less interesting stuff, but here it is:  Born and raised in Western Pennsylvania, I graduated from Wake Forest University in 1980 with a BA in English Literature. I also graduated from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in 1983 with my M.Div.; and then later from Reformed Theological Seminary in 1998 with my D.Min.  My favorite passages of Scripture are Proverbs 2:1-11 and Ephesians 2:8-10.  And I love jazz, classical, and  acoustic music.  Beyond that, you'll just have to come visit Harvest to find out more.  Hope you do! I'd love to get to know you, too.

Brett Wirebaugh - Associate Pastor - Family & Youth

The first thing you need to know about me is that I, too, am a sinner, but just not as big of a one as David.  (Just kidding!)  I grew up in Michigan where I came to faith in Christ as an eighteen year old, due to the love and influence of friends and a local youth pastor.  It was that youth pastor’s impact on my life that God eventually used to call me into youth ministry.  I graduated from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, and then enrolled at Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS) in Orlando, Florida.  It was during seminary that I became convinced of my call to youth ministry after serving as a part-time youth pastor at one church and completing two summer youth internships at another.  After receiving a Masters of Divinity degree from RTS, I was called by Providence Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Pittsburgh to be their Associate Pastor and Director of Youth and Family Ministries.  After eight years, I began teaching Bible and science at Robinson Township Christian School, where I also served as Athletic Director, basketball coach and chaplain.  The last two years I took on the added role of Headmaster.  After serving seven years at RTCS, I was installed as Harvest’s Associate Pastor for Family and Youth in June of 2010. I am married to my best friend Holly and we live in Medina with our four awesome kids!

Kim Pettay - Church Administrator

Kim Pettay began her career here over 12 years ago as a fill-in for the church secretary’s maternity leave.  She loved it so much she stayed!  Saying Kim loves this church body is an understatement.  She enjoys serving God with and through this church body and she looks forward to getting to know each person and the gifts God has given them.

Kim’s formal education is in history, psychology, and sociology with a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education (with focuses in those areas). She enjoys teens and is extensively involved in Boy Scouting and the Highland Middle School and High School communities.

God has always been part of Kim’s life, as she grew up in church and Harvest (founding family).  Though she fell away from the church during her college years, God kept calling her back. She returned to the church and began to explore a more personal relationship with Jesus.  She also took some time in her 20’s, along with her husband, to explore other churches and their theology, they found themselves back at Harvest and have spent the last 20 years here at Harvest.

Kim lives in Medina County with her Husband Jim (HPC Elder), of 24 years, and her two growing sons.

Lori Ciulla - Director of Music

Mrs. Lori Ciulla began serving as Harvest’s Director of Music Ministries in the Fall of 2007. Prior to coming to Harvest Presbyterian with her family, Lori served as Director of Music at the Medina United Methodist Church from 1988-2006, Choir Director at the First Christian Church of Medina 1982-1984 where she was blessed to meet Alice Chester, Director of Youth Choirs at the Brunswick United Methodist Church 1980-1982, and Choir Director at the Twin Falls United Methodist Church in Monroe Falls 1976-1980 serving with her step-father, Rev. Robert Wagner.

Lori began serving in Music Ministry at a very young age singing in choirs, studying piano at the age of 3 and serving as organist beginning at the age of 14 at St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church in Hartville, Ohio where the foundation of her faith and calling to Music Ministry began. It was her mother that instilled in her “that our gifts and talents from God are never ours to hold onto – they are only and always ours to give back in His glory.”

Lori received a Bachelor of Music in Education from Kent State University where she met her husband of 32 years Gary, and a Masters in Music Education from the University of Akron. She is currently beginning her 33rd year of teaching music education in public schools. She has been a band director at Copley-Fairlawn City Schools for 30 years with three years prior at Buckeye Local Schools as Assistant Band Director.  Lori and Gary have been blessed with four children.
